A British dependency and the largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey lies 100 miles off the south coast of England. It is a very popular summer destination for Britons and the French alike and is easy to reach by car ferry from a number of destinations.

The Port of Jersey lies at the southern end of the island in the capital city of St Helier on St Aubin's Bay. Facilities at the port include several eateries and shops, including duty-free outlets.


At the port, there are good facilities in place for disabled travellers, which include with adapted toilets and telephones, as well as porter assistance for boarding and alighting ferries.
Both short-term and long-term parking options are available at the port.

Ferry Services


Ferry services from Jersey are comprehensive and operated by Condor Ferries and Emeraude Jersey Ferries, with regular return sailings to French and English destinations, as well as to the island of Guernsey. Three services run to the UK mainland, including to Portsmouth, Poole, and Weymouth; one service to St Malo in France and the other inter-island service to Guernsey.

The Jersey to Portsmouth passenger and car ferry service is a seasonal service with six ferry crossings per week and a sailing time of 9 hours. Condor Ferries operates this service in the summer months until November.

Condor Ferries also runs the Jersey to Poole fast ferry service, with two daily crossings and a sailing time of 2 hours, 45 minutes. This service is also seasonal, running from March to October.

The Jersey to Weymouth ferry is a year-round service, with just the one fast ferry service per day. Condor Ferries also operates this route in a time of 3 hours, 50 minutes.

Jersey to Guernsey ferries run twice daily and take just 1 hour. Condor Ferries also runs a fast ferry on this route and it is operational all year-round.

The Jersey to St Malo fast ferry is the busiest in-season route and is operated by Condor Ferries and Emeraude Jersey Ferries. There are as many as five daily return crossings between the months of March and October. The crossing time is a mere 1 hour, 15 minutes.
